Catlings — The Curious Spirits of the House

Some spirits do not drift quietly.

They watch, they follow, and sometimes… they appear exactly where you least expect them.

Catlings are among the most curious inhabitants of the House — small, attentive spirits that seem drawn to movement, light, and the subtle details others might miss.

They are rarely far away.

What They Are

Catlings are small, feline-like spirits that carry a quiet curiosity through the House.

Though similar in size to Ghostlings, their presence feels more intentional — as if they are always observing, always aware of something just beyond sight.

Behaviour

Catlings wander with purpose.

They follow shifting light, moving shadows, and the quiet activity within each room. They may settle briefly, only to disappear and reappear elsewhere moments later.

Personality

Curious, watchful, and quietly playful, Catlings bring a subtle liveliness to the House.

They are not disruptive, but their presence is noticeable — a sense that something is always just out of view, gently observing.

Role in the House

Catlings are the observers.

They move between spaces, subtly interacting with the environment and the other spirits within it. Where they linger, the House feels just a little more alive.

Where They Are Found

Catlings favour spaces rich with detail — rooms where light shifts, objects gather, and quiet stories linger.

They are most often encountered in:

→ Mossy Study
→ Frosted Conservatory
→ Rose Attic

These rooms offer the textures and subtle movement that naturally draw their attention.
